The federal government of Nigeria on Tuesday, inaugurated a 37-man Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage with a mandate to recommend a new National Minimum Wage for the Country. The committee was inaugurated by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the council chamber of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa. While inaugurating the committee, Shettima charged the members to consider the hardship caused by the removal of fuel subsidy and work to alleviate the suffering of the people.

President Muhammadu Buhari will on Thursday, 19th August hold a security meeting with the nation’s service chiefs and heads of security agencies. This was confirmed in a statement on Tuesday by the President’s spokesperson, Mallam Garba Shehu which noted that the meeting will hold at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja. The Lagos State chapter of the Association of Mobile Money and Bank Agents In Nigeria (AMMBAN) has increased the amount to be charged by Point of Sales (POS) operators from members of the public for cash deposits and withdrawals.
